WebSecurity with Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) Support
11 January 2012
Everyone uses the Internet to update the software of their products. But is it safe? Take a closer look at the WebSecurity (WEB API) of the CRYPTO-BOX. This way there will be no "bad surprises" - and only paying customers receive updates. Particularly useful in support contracts.
Your customers will also profit from it. Unlike the usual software solutions (one fixed legitimate IP address per customer) licensees are flexible and can retrieve updates, from their laptop for example. Your customers are mobile - make it easy for them!
Web Security offers the following possibilities:
- Access to Web content with the CRYPTO-BOX
This scenario is useful if you want to distribute updates only to authorized users via the Internet. When you open the website the CRYPTO-BOX will be queried, depending on the status it will allow or deny access to the Site.
- Update of the CRYPTO-BOX
WebSecurity can also be used to update the CRYPTO-BOX. Unlike the Remote Update Management System (RUMS) there is no need to (manually) send activation keys. With Online License Management defined update plans are used, which can be easily created via the SmarxOS Application Framework.
WebSecurity offers support to all popular web servers that support PHP, JSP or ASP.NET.
NEW: Support for Windows Identity Foundation (WIF).
The clients site supports Internet Explorer (Windows) and Firefox (Windows, Linux).
You will find more information to WebSecurity and Online License Management here.
With the CRYPTO-BOX included in the Evaluation Kit you can try WebSecurity right away.
The updated WEB API package for developers can be found on our download site (MYMARX-registration is necessary).
