Exhibitor at the 2008 Leipzig Games Convention

London, August, 2008 - The German company, MARX Software Security, has announced a portfolio of next-generation protection measures that will enable games publishers, middleware suppliers and developers to protect their intellectual property against piracy, and will be showing these at the annual 2008 Games Convention in Leipzig from August 20th to August 23rd.
"The games market will continue to see enormous growth - but only if software can be efficiently protected.”, commented Philipp Marx, company founder and CEO. “Our products, when appropriately implemented, will prevent the 'automatic cracking' that may occur with mere software-based protection measures. Remote updates to our products' firmware, and dynamic modification of the cryptographic algorithm, ensure that the protection system is always faster and smarter than any potential data thief."
The risk for publishers is particularly high in the run-up to the release, when substantial financial damage may occur if security gaps lead to software being distributed through unofficial distribution channels. Hardware-based copy protection is significantly more secure than protection that relies on software alone. The inclusion of AutoCrypt means that copy protection may be implemented in existing Windows .EXE or .DLL files in a matter of minutes – including encryption and debugger protection. No knowledge of programming or source codes is required, and when implemented with the efficient Smarx API, the solutions offered by MARX provide highly effective and platform-independent software protection under Windows and MacOS.
MARX Software Security will be available for customer demonstrations and press meetings at this year's Games Convention in Leipzig, August 20th to August 23rd (Business Centre in Hall 1, Stand L70).
