| MARX® Programming Interface (MPI) |
This legacy 32Bit interface supports the CRYPTO-BOX USB (CBU), Serial (CBS3) and Parallel (560/Net and Versa). MPI also provides network support for the CRYPTO-BOX USB and 560/Net in TCP/IP and Novell networks.
MPI supports Windows 32Bit version only (Windows XP/2000/NT4, Windows Me/9X) and Mac OS (8.6-X). Further developments and updates for this interface were discontinued. If you are working with the CRYPTO-BOX USB, it is strongly recommended to choose the Smarx API, which utilizes all possibilities of the CRYPTO-BOX USB: protecting multiple applications with one CRYPTO-BOX, Multi-Platform support (Windows, Linux, Mac OS, 32/64 Bit), support for nearly all current and upcoming compilers, etc.

IMPORTANT: Existing MPI-formatted CRYPTO-BOX USB modules can be converted to SmarxOS - please refer to our Application Note "MPI vs. SmarxOS" (PDF file). The MPI to SmarxOS Conversion Kit contains the complete SmarxOS Developers Kit, one CRYPTO-BOX USB (SmarxOS formatted) and a printed manual and is available for $79,95 / 69,95 EUR (plus shipping).
